Haddenham Health Supporters Group
THE HEALTH SUPPORTERS GROUP HAS RESTARTEDThe Health Supporters Group has restarted. For many years the old group did a wonderful job of communicating with the Health Centre, its staff and patients, on top of fund raising. The Supporters Group will help the doctors and staff to listen to what is going on in the community served by the practice, and so adapt the service to the community's need.

The Group will meet regularly three times a year with an AGM at the end of the year, which patients will be encouraged to attend. At the meetings we will discuss any issues, whether raised by patients, doctors or staff. The main function of a Support Group is to establish a dialogue between health professionals and the members of the community served by the practice. In this way services are better able to respond to people's needs and feelings. This positive approach builds on success and does not concentrate just on complaints but encourages praise as well as criticism.
We will also be arranging health education talks throughout the year as well as various fund raising events. These will be advertised in the Medical Centre and in the quarterly Haddenham Newsletter.

If you have anything that you would like us to put forward to the Medical Centre please bring your comments into the surgery in a sealed envelope addressed to the Haddenham Supporters Group or e-mail the group directly at supporters@haddenham.org. We will then discuss them at the next meeting.
