Haddenham Medical Centre is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
The practice operates a zero-tolerance policy towards violent, threatening, abusive, or aggressive behaviour. Any behaviour that causes staff or other patients to feel unsafe or distressed will not be tolerated.
Examples of unacceptable behaviour include:
- Physical violence or threats of violence
- Verbal abuse, shouting, or intimidation
- Aggressive or disruptive behaviour
- Harassment, discrimination, or offensive language
- Damage to property
- Abuse towards staff in person, over the telephone, or online
In cases of inappropriate behaviour, the practice may issue one formal warning letter. Continued unacceptable behaviour may result in the patient being removed from the practice list in accordance with NHS guidance.
Any incident involving violence, threats of violence, or situations where the police are required to attend will result in immediate removal from the practice list.
We understand that patients may sometimes feel upset or frustrated; however, all staff have the right to work without fear of abuse or aggression.
Patients are expected to treat staff, other patients, and visitors with courtesy and respect at all times.
